For years, one of the most consistent requests we’ve heard from Reed Award entrants has been for recognition at the regional level. Firms that spend the bulk of their time shaping state and local campaigns wanted the chance to compete against peers working in the same political terrain. This year, we’re delivering on that request.
For the first time, the Reed Awards will include regional categories — a new opportunity to showcase the outstanding work being done in every corner of the country.
These categories are designed with state and local-focused firms in mind. If your team’s bread and butter is running campaigns in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Arizona, or California, this is your chance to be recognized in the arenas where your work matters most.
Whether you’re an established shop in Sacramento, a rising firm in Austin, or a creative powerhouse in Philadelphia, you now have the chance to claim the title of best in your region.
The regional groupings:
- Northeast + Southeast
- Midwest + Southwest + West
- California
From fundraising and direct mail to digital advertising and GOTV, these new categories will put a spotlight on the firms and campaigns whose influence is felt most strongly at the state and local level. To ensure these awards reflect the true spirit of regional work, firms entering should be doing most of their work in the region where they’re competing.
However, a national footprint is not disqualifying for these categories. But if your firm primarily works federal races across the country, the existing Reed Awards categories remain the right fit.
